- Recognition and registration of APBET schools by The Ministry of Education using their policy document that was drawn and signed by the then Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi in the year 2015.
- The institutions request to be supplied with the CBC learning materials like text books as the Ministry of Education is doing to public schools since these institutions serve the very vulnerable learners from the informal settlements with almost no means to provide for their children.
- Information and Technology [I.T] appliances e.g. computers or tablets to ensure holistic learning which includes and not limited to digital literacy.
- Due to scarcity of water in the informal settlements, APBET institutions are in dire need of water and storage facilities{tanks} for improvement of sanitation at the centers.
- For the successful usage of the digital appliances, these institutions deserve to be connected to the electric power national grid for a successful service delivery.
- For the APBET institutions to be able to sustain and retain learners in school, school feeding program is ideal to reduce the number of out of school learners.
- For proper management of the APBET institutions, the managers should be taken through school management courses and the teachers to undergo frequent curriculum implementation trainings bearing in mind that the new CBC curriculum is in force.
- Teachers remuneration/allowances have always proven to be a challenge due to the inability of the parents/guardians from the informal settlements to clear the small amount of fee charged at the centers.
- A good number of these institutions are on rental premises and the current rent bills are so high resulting from the accrued rent arrears that arose from the school closures in the year 2020 due to The Covid-19 pandemic.
- APBET institutions deserve to be supported in the line of maintenance and renovation of their infrastructure which are temporary, semi-permanent or even permanent but not in good shape.
- We are glad that the Nairobi City County has given special codes for payment of business permits for the APBET[Complementary Institutions] in the city. Our prayer to the other counties where APBET schools exist, is to give such consideration for easy and smooth cooperation with our member schools.
